This show was comprised of three graduates of Laura’s 8-week Let’s Get Happy! workshop. They shared how the workshop affected them, and six months later what practices are still making them happier.

Let’s move on to our Light Bulb Moment for the week. The Light Bulb Moment is a practice that can help you have the light bulb come on for you in some way. Given that all three of the people I talked with today mentioned doing a gratitude practice or a gratitude journal, that’s what I’m going to focus on for the Light Bulb Moment.

The gratitude journal gets you thinking about what is right in your life, appreciating everything that you already have, and recognizing you have everything you already need. Doing a gratitude journal once a day, some other ways you can do it is have conversations with family and friends about what you’re grateful for.

This is what saying grace is about before our meal. Thank someone you appreciate. Make it a practice every single day, thank someone that you appreciate that you would have taken for granted. Maybe it’s a clerk at the store. Maybe it’s a waitress. Maybe it’s your mother for making dinner, whoever it is.

Thanking Spirit for everything you have in your life. Doing gratitude artwork or doing a gratitude white board like Ann mentioned where in their family they have a white board on their refrigerator where they write down what they’re grateful for.

Try one of those gratitude practices and make it a daily commitment to do it. I guarantee you, you will be happier.
